The 9th Glocal Advocacy Leadership in Asia (GALA) Academy –  is an initiative by Asia Development Alliance (ADA)  with the aim of strengthening the advocacy capacity of CSOs for defending and promoting civic and democratic space and human rights through strategic “glocal (global and local)” actions on the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development known as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It is to be organized online considering the continued COVID situation from 23 to 25 February 2021 by  Asia Development Alliance (ADA), a regional CSO coalition in Asia in Partnership with Asia Civil Society Partnership on Sustainable DevelopmentPSD.

The workshop is expected to help CSOs in Asia,  to learn about SDGs as well as how to engage with the government and other stakeholders for the implementation of SDGs including monitoring and coalition-building among CSOs across the sectors besides preparing the CSOs of 2021 VNR Reporting countries, which are Pakistan and Bhutan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, China, Democratic people's Republic of Korea, Japan, Cyprus, Iraq, and Qatar
